When it comes to decorating for the holidays… one style does not fit all! Fortunately, there are many different ways to add festive touches to your home this year.
Traditional
There is nothing wrong with a traditional Christmas look. This look of the classic green fir tree, stockings hanging over the mantle, warm Christmas lights, and the traditional red and green colors of Christmas give this look a cozy, homey feel.
Glam or Elegant
You can also try a more glam look for Christmas. Stick to light colors like whites and pastels, and add plenty of shimmer and sparkle. A nice touch to achieve this look would be a white or pink tree rather than the traditional green.
Modern
If modern is more your style, try a minimalist look. Stick to the basics such as a tree, some lights, a wreath, and some garland. Stay simple with the color palette as well, mainly sticking to neutrals. Simple shapes and clean lines will also go well with the modern aesthetic.
Farmhouse or Rustic
Maybe a rustic or farmhouse style is more your look. This style can definitely be incorporated into festive decor. Look for woody, rustic elements or farmhouse motifs such as chickens, cows, or milk bottles. Incorporate traditional Christmas elements like the green fir tree and wreath.
