Needing a place to bring the family to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July? Check out these hot spots where you can view the best spark displays around:
The Woodlands- The Red Hot and Blue Fireworks Extravaganza over the Lake Woodlands at 9:15 p.m. Celebrations include a daytime parade, live music performances, arts and crafts booths, inflatables, hot dog and watermelon eating contests, face painting, and for the adults- an ice cold draft brew beer tent.
Tomball- Celebration & Street Festival on 249 and FM 2920 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Festivities include face painting, a day parade, live music, kid’s games and water activities, and festival-style food booths.
Spring- Wet n’ Wild Splash Town hosts 4th of July Celebration starts at dusk. Admission is free with park ticket and includes music and games.
Houston- Freedom Over Texas in Eleanor Tinsley Park from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Celebrations include a tribute from the United States Air Force Band of the West, face painting, horse shoe tossing, and live music.
ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights Star-Spangled Salute at the Miller Outdoor Theatre at 8:30 p.m. features live music from the Houston Symphony. Songs from Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture will be performed, which will include a cannon.
